During middle school, I picked up programming in Lua so I could create games in Roblox Studio. After doing this for about a year, I decided that I wanted to make my own mods for Minecraft, which required Java. After learning the basics of Java in a car ride home from a camping trip, I went home and watched tutorials on how to create a mod for Minecraft. I became fascinated with programming, and I used this new skill of mine to develop my own games from scratch.
I first used the built-in Java Swing library to make my very first game. (You can read more about it in my Projects tab). Since that time during freshman year, I've been learning more about programming and computer science by making my own games and taking college classes about developer-related topics.
I am going to college at the Milwaukee School of Engineering for software engineering.
In my free time, I enjoy creating video games. I've learned many math and computer science concepts in doing this, like minkowski sums, data structures, networking, and managing/accessing a database with SQL. I love hosting Minecraft servers for my friends, and I enjoy making plugins for the server to manage our backups and store them remotely, create playable minigames, and add quality of life features to our survival server. In addition to this, I like to play the trombone and compose music, which I upload on my YouTube channel.
